International Year of the Soil 2015: soil for healthy Lives

The 68^th United Nations General Assembly declared 2015 the International Year of the Soil. Its aim is to create a platform to share stories, photos and multimedia related to the economic, cultural and the environmental impact of soil on your lives.

The forum is expected to address problems such as soil degradation, desertification, deforestation, drought and environmental challenges and conservational practices. The blog is opened to farmers, landholders, soil scientists, policy makers, including gardeners.  Interested persons are invited to contribute to the blog by joining FAO community or send email to soils-2015@fao.org for further information
