The
nation has been warned to expect less rainfall in 2015. This announcement came
from the Director General, National Meteorological Agency, Mr. Anthony Anuforo,
during the launch of the 2015 rainfall prediction Programme in Abuja. He
further informed the gathering that Nigerians, especially farmers, should plan
for the coming season accordingly.
The
good news is that farmers can now access the weather information via mobile
phones. This is a welcome development as farmers can reduce losses related to
faulty planning.
